John Billing dies having lost 3 of his children in the last 18 months
ANGLE VALE, March 24.—Mr. John Billing, who was a well known resident in the districts, of Salisbury and Gawler, died on Sunday last at Angle Vale. The deceased was born in Cornwall, and came with his parents 48 years ago when he was only two yars old.
For several years his family lived in the Burra, his father being a workman in the mines. After a time they removed to near Salisburyand engaged in to Ward's Belt, near Gawler. During the last 18 months Mr Billing, had a series of heavy trials, having lost three of his children during that short period. Over twelve months ago his own health gave way. Which caused him to sell out and retire for the remainder of his days in Angle Vale. For several years he was a councilor in the Mudla offical in the Primitive Methdoist Church, and had frequently represented the Gawler circuit in the annual Conferences. He leaves a widow and seven chidren. His remains were interred in the Ward's Belt Cemetery last Monday. The Revs R.- Lang and W. R. Stephenson officiated at the grave.
